With-flow bus and cycle lane

What does this sign mean?

This sign marks a lane running in the same direction as the general traffic that is reserved for buses and cycles, and the plate beneath it gives the times when the restriction applies. A sign with no times on it means the lane is reserved around the clock. Do not drive or park in it while it is in force, and check the plate before assuming an empty lane is free to use. The rule that you may use a bus lane outside its hours of operation is one the theory test asks about repeatedly.
