Turn left

Turn left (right if symbol reversed

What does this sign mean?

This sign orders you to turn left at the point where it is placed, rather than further ahead; the reversed version orders a turn to the right. It is used at the entrance to a one-way street, at a mandatory turn out of a junction and where a road layout has been changed. Signal in good time and make the turn from the correct position. The theory test distinguishes it from the turn left ahead sign, which warns of a mandatory turn at the junction in front of you.
