Vehicles may pass either side

Vehicles may pass either side to reach same destination

What does this sign mean?

Arrows pointing both left and right mean you may pass this obstruction on either side and both routes lead to the same destination. It is used on islands and bollards splitting the traffic flow where either side is equally acceptable. Choose your side early, check your mirrors and move smoothly rather than committing at the last moment. Because it looks similar to the keep left sign, the theory test frequently asks candidates to tell the two apart by the number of arrows.
