Red Route parking sign
Red Route: parking for the times and maximum stay shown
What does this road marking mean?
The sign for a marked box on a Red Route where parking is permitted, giving the days, the hours and the maximum stay. Boxes are the exception that makes an otherwise no-stopping route usable. A box marked in red is available only for part of the day, typically outside the peak periods, while a box marked in white is available throughout the day. The sign beside the box is what distinguishes the two in practice.
