Give way to traffic from the right at a roundabout

What does this road marking mean?

This broken line across the entry to a roundabout marks where you give way to traffic already circulating from your right. It is a give way line rather than a stop line, so a clear roundabout can be entered without stopping. The line also marks the point beyond which you are committed, so any hesitation needs to happen before it rather than on it. Watch for cyclists and motorcyclists in the circulating traffic, who are easy to miss in a gap that looks big enough.
