Road markings
Red Route: no stopping at any time
What does this road marking mean?
The sign that accompanies double red lines on a Red Route, where stopping is prohibited at all times. Red Routes use red lines instead of yellow ones on busy through-routes where a stopped vehicle would hold up large volumes of traffic. Double red lines always mean no stopping, whatever the sign beside them says about other periods. Licensed taxis and Blue Badge holders have limited exemptions.
