What does this road marking mean?
The words BUS LANE painted on the carriageway with a solid white line separating the lane from general traffic. Signs at the entry to the lane say which other vehicles may use it, commonly cycles and taxis, and during which hours it operates. Outside the posted hours the lane is usually open to all traffic. Driving or waiting in an operating bus lane is enforced by camera in most towns.
