Road markings

Double yellow lines

No waiting at any time

What does this road marking mean?

Double yellow lines mean no waiting at any time, on the carriageway, the pavement and the verge alike. The restriction runs every day of the year unless a nearby sign sets out a seasonal exception, and no plate is needed for it to apply. You may still stop to load or unload, or to let passengers get in or out, unless kerb markings also prohibit loading. Blue Badge holders have separate concessions that vary between local authorities.
