Diversion route

What does this sign mean?

Yellow diversion signs direct traffic around a closure, whether planned roadworks or an unexpected incident. They are temporary and take priority over the permanent direction signs you would normally follow. Follow the diversion the whole way rather than trying to rejoin early, since the road you want may still be closed further along. Temporary signs overriding permanent ones is an idea the theory test tests in the roadworks section as well.
