What does this sign mean?

This sign points the way to a public car park, using the standard white P on a blue panel. It is used in town centres, at stations and near attractions where drivers are being steered away from on-street parking. Follow the arrows rather than circling, and check the parking restrictions once you arrive. Parking signs and the restrictions that go with them make up a steady share of the theory test's sign questions.
