What does this sign mean?

This sign gives advance notice of a bus lane running in the same direction as the traffic, which pedal cycles and taxis may also use. It appears before the lane begins so you can move out of it in good time. Do not drive or stop in the lane while it is operating, and check the plate at the start of the lane for the hours that apply. The rule that a bus lane may be used by other traffic outside its hours is one the theory test asks in several forms.
