Information signs
Traffic on the main carriageway has priority
Traffic on the main carriageway coming from right has priority over joining traffic
What does this sign mean?
This sign makes clear that traffic already on the main carriageway, coming from the right, has priority over vehicles joining from a slip road. It is used at entries where the layout might otherwise leave drivers unsure who should give way. If you are joining, adjust your speed on the slip road to fit a gap, and do not expect traffic to move over for you. Joining a fast road safely, by matching speed and merging rather than forcing in, is core theory test material.
