What does this sign mean?
This sign marks the point where motorway regulations begin to apply. From here, pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, agricultural vehicles, most provisional licence holders and slow vehicles are prohibited, and motorway rules on lane use, stopping and reversing take effect. Check your vehicle and your load before joining, since stopping on the carriageway is not permitted except in an emergency. Which vehicles are banned from motorways is one of the most reliably asked theory test questions.
