What does this sign mean?

This sign marks bays reserved for solo motorcycles, meaning machines without a sidecar or trailer. Bays like these are common in city centres, where they make efficient use of space that would hold only one car. Cars and vans must not use them, and riders should park within the marked area and consider a security anchor where one is provided. Motorcycle-specific parking appears in the motorcycle theory test and in car questions about who may use which bay.
