Information signs
Bus lane on road at junction ahead
What does this sign mean?
This sign warns that the road you are about to turn into has a bus lane, so you need to know where it runs before you commit to the turn. It is used at junctions where turning into the wrong lane would put you straight into a restricted one. Look at the diagram, plan which lane you will finish in, and give way to any bus or cycle already using the lane. Turning across or into a bus or cycle lane is a specific situation the Highway Code addresses and the theory test examines.
