End of controlled parking zone

End of controlled parking zone

What does this sign mean?

This sign tells you that you are leaving a controlled parking zone, so the zone-wide waiting restrictions no longer apply. Any restriction beyond it will be signed separately on the street where it applies. Even so, check for yellow lines and local plates before you park, since leaving one zone can mean entering another. The paired entry and exit signs are a standard theory test contrast, in the same way as the 20 mph zone signs.

Highway Code references

  • Rule 238 from Waiting and parking (238 to 252)
