Reduced visibility signal

Reduced visibility ahead

What does this light signal mean?

This signal warns of reduced visibility ahead, typically fog, spray or smoke. The conditions may be some way beyond the signal and may arrive very abruptly, so reduce speed before you reach them rather than as you enter them. Increase your following distance, because the driver behind will have the same limited view of you. Use dipped headlights, and fog lights only while visibility is seriously reduced.
