What does this vehicle marking mean?

A diamond plate carrying a skull and crossbones, showing that the vehicle is carrying a toxic substance. The diamond symbols in this family all identify the class of danger rather than the specific chemical. At the scene of an incident, staying upwind and well back matters more with this class than almost any other. Give the symbol to the emergency operator, since it tells them what protective equipment to bring.
