Projection marker: side marker
Side marker
What does this vehicle marking mean?
A red and white striped marker fitted to the side of a load that projects beyond the body of the vehicle. It shows how far out the load extends, which is often considerably further than the vehicle's outline suggests. Allow extra room when passing, and remember that the projection will sweep a wider path than the vehicle itself on a bend. Side markers are usually used together with an end marker.
