What does this vehicle marking mean?

A yellow sign displayed in the front or rear window of a bus or coach carrying schoolchildren. Drive carefully and slowly when passing a stationary bus showing it, because children may get off and cross the road in front of or behind the vehicle without looking. The bus itself blocks your view of exactly the place a child is most likely to step out from. Be prepared to stop rather than merely to slow.
