Signal to a person controlling traffic: going straight on

I want to go straight on

What does this signal mean?

The driver raises a hand and moves it forward to show a person controlling traffic that they want to go straight on. These signals run the opposite way to the others in this section: you are informing the controller rather than obeying them. Giving one early helps the officer or warden release the right movements in the right order. Keep the signal clear and unhurried so it cannot be confused with a turning signal.
