Left direction indicator

I intend to move in to the left or turn left or stop on the left

What does this signal mean?

The left indicator tells others that you intend to move in to the left, turn left, or stop on the left. Cancel it as soon as the manoeuvre is complete, since an indicator left running is one of the commonest causes of another driver pulling out into your path. Be equally wary of trusting someone else's indicator: wait until you can see the vehicle actually turning. Give cyclists and pedestrians on the road you are entering the priority the Code requires.
