Cyclist arm signal: turning right

I intend to move out to the right or turn right

What does this signal mean?

A cyclist extends the right arm horizontally to show an intention to move out to the right or turn right. It is the signal most likely to be given late, because the rider must first look behind and judge the traffic before committing an arm to it. Seeing a cyclist look over their right shoulder is often the earliest warning you will get. Hold back and allow the move rather than accelerating past into the gap.
