Road works signs

End of road works

End of road works and any temporary restrictions including speed limits

What does this sign mean?

This sign marks the end of the works and of any temporary restrictions that went with them, including temporary speed limits. From this point the normal limit and the permanent signs apply again. Do not accelerate until you have passed the sign and can see the road ahead is genuinely clear, since works traffic often leaves and rejoins near the end of a site. Knowing that temporary restrictions run until this sign, rather than until the last cone, is a useful theory test detail.
