Zebra crossing ahead

Zebra crossing

What does this sign mean?

A zebra crossing lies ahead, marked on the road by black and white stripes and flanked by flashing amber beacons. Slow down on the approach, look for anyone waiting at the kerb, and give way once a pedestrian has moved onto the crossing. You must not park or overtake on the zig-zag lines either side, because they keep the crossing visible from both directions. Zebra crossing rules come up constantly in the theory test, especially the difference between them and signal-controlled crossings.
