Hump bridge

What does this sign mean?

The sign warns of a humped bridge where the road rises sharply and your view of the far side disappears. It is common on canal and river crossings and on older rural bridges, and the crest may also hide an oncoming vehicle on a narrow deck. Slow down before the rise, keep to the left, and never overtake where the road beyond the crest is out of sight. It is one of the specific places the Highway Code names as unsuitable for overtaking, so it turns up in test questions on safe overtaking.
